Fiscal year 2005

  • Collaborative researches with JAXA started.
  • Academic exchange with Center for Remote Sensing and Ocean Sciences (CReSOS) at Udayana University (Indonesia) started.

Fiscal year 2007

  • Satellite Remote Sensing Working Group was established at Research Center for Environmental Safety, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Yamaguchi University

Fiscal year 2009~2011

  • Research Grants: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Aerospace human resource development project “Satellite remote sensing human resource development through international collaboration”
  • Collaborative simultaneous classes started using internet for 10 subjects with Udayana university.
  • Double degree program (DDP) started with Udayana University

Fiscal year 2013~2015

  • Research Grants: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Aerospace human resource development project “Satellite remote sensing human resource development through international collaboration between the graduate schools”
  • Collaborative classes became 12 subjects (from 10 subjects)
  • Collaborative countries were expanded to Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippine and East Timor

Fiscal year 2015~2017

  • Research Grants: Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) / Core-to-Core Project (B: Asia-Africa Science Platforms), “Establishment of the Southeast Asia Research and Education Center for Disaster Reduction and Environment Using Satellite Remote Sensing”
  • International Seminars were held twice in fiscal year 2015 and once in fiscal year 2016.
  • CRASS has been established as Yamaguchi University official research center (1st Feb. 2016).
